On Network Service Modeling in Softwarized Networks
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Software Defined Network (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) architectures are composed of different functional blocks such as NFV Orchestrator, Virtualized Infrastructure Manager (VIM) and SDN controllers. These components are modeled as independent software with specific access, configuration, and management. They are connected mainly across of the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that each component provides. A critical challenge is an integration between these diverse components towards effectively deploy resource requirements, configuration parameters, management policies and performance metrics of network services. This integration is possible by definition of standard service modeling language. This work presents an overview of network service modeling on SDN/NFV domain, including the description and integration of modeling languages and template TOSCA, YANG and HOT. Besides, the paper compares two orchestration frameworks in term of service modeling. This paper serves as an initial point in the research about service modeling.

A heuristic method for consumable resource allocation in multi-class dynamic PERT networks
This investigation presents a heuristic method for consumable resource allocation problem in multi-class dynamic Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) networks, where new projects from different classes (types) arrive to system according to independent Poisson processes with different arrival rates. Each activity of any project is operated at a devoted service station located in a n...

The purpose of the study was to model the relationship between the temperament characters with a dependency on social networks in Babol. The method of this study was a correlation with Structural Equation Modeling and covariance based approach. The statistical population included all women between 20 and 40 years of age who were in five counseling centers in collaboration with Babol Justice Div...
متن کاملA Benders' Decomposition Method to Solve Stochastic Distribution Network Design Problem with Two Echelons and Inter-Depot Transportation
In many practical distribution networks, managers face significant uncertainties in demand, local price of building facilities, transportation cost, and macro and microeconomic parameters. This paper addresses design of distribution networks in a supply chain system which optimizes the performance of distribution networks subject to required service level. This service level, which is consider...
متن کاملThe Use of Data Envelopment Analysis in the Design of Internet Networks to Ensure the Quality of Service
Choosing a superior Internet network by users or providing a desirable Internet network by ISPs is always one of the important decision issues in this area. Choosing a unique optimal network from among the best networks is still a big challenge. The purpose of this paper is to use the data envelopment analysis (DEA) decision-making technique to evaluate the existing Internet networks in order t...
متن کاملDesign of a Reliable Facility Location Model for Health Service Networks
This paper proposes a novel facility location model for health service network design by considering different key elements including the reliability aspects, service capacity, congestion, service quality, surrounding public infrastructures, geographical accessibility and several types of cost such as investment, transportation and operational costs. We formulate the problem as a robust scenari...
